Star Wars Episode VIII, The Last Jedi is set to be released December 9th, 2017. The story looks to pick up where the force awakens left off.
Rey (Daisy Ridley) appears to be starting her Jedi training with Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill). While Finn (John Boyega) is in some sort of stasis pod. Aside from that, not many plot points can be pulled from the initial trailer which is a good thing.

Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) is set to be the main protagonist again. He has set aside his mask for unknown reasons. Hopefully we will find out some more information about General Snoke. I would imagine he will have a much more involved role in this movie.
